Dear All,
The 1st of December! Things are starting to get festive at school at the moment. I’d like to ask that you all please support the up-coming events. The more people that support them, the better the atmosphere and the more enjoyment the children get from them. So here is a reminder of the festivities over the next two weeks. Tomorrow – 2nd December at 9.15 am, the Christmas Tree Assembly. All the children sing carols, find out about Christmas traditions from around the world and most importantly decorate the tree. Also tomorrow is the Christmas Bazaar – 3.30pm to 5pm please come along and support, either by spending your pennies or by offering to help out on a stall.
Next week – 7th December at 4pm is the Carol Concert at the Church in Stour Provost. There will be the Christmas Story and all the old favourite carols to sing. Children will be singing, reading and taking part in the story telling. Let’s fill the church with song and people! Then Thursday 8th December – Is the Peter Pan Panto at Yeovil (Oh no it isn’t!). Reminder that the coaches are leaving at 9am, so please make sure your child is in school by 8.45am so that we don’t miss the start!!!
Into the final week – 12th and 13th December is the Christmas Nativity being performed by KS1 and supported by the KS2 choir. The children have been working hard in rehearsals and it should be a great way to round off our festivities. All are welcome to come, we hope the hall will be packed to create a great atmosphere. There is a separate letter detailing times and tickets. We have put on an afternoon and evening performance to accommodate all. So hopefully one of the times will suite you.

Hall of Fame! Certificate Winners last week.
Our stars of the week this week were Ralph (Conkers), Brody (Acorns), William (Chestnuts) and Katie (Oaks) for being a good friend to others. Leo, Esme, Rocco, Noah and Dylan (Conkers), Lucy and James (Chestnuts), Amelia, Elena, Jasper and Daniel (Acorns) all received their bronze awards for reading 30 or more times at home. Well done. Hannah (Oaks), Freddie, Ellie-Tailor, Sunny, Adam (Chestnuts), Asleigh, Elena, Jacob, Tristan, Finely, Libby, Georgia, Daniel, Brody, Edward, Jasper, Annie, Elena, Amelia, Jessica, Alfie and Miranda (Acorns) all received their bronze certificate for 10 stars. Elena and Alfie (Acorns) shared their group three swimming certificate. The attendance award was given to Acorn class with almost 100% attendance. The spick and span award was given to Oaks. The Gillingham and Shaftesbury Roundtable have awarded the pupils of Stower Provost School a certificate for their outstanding effort shown by all in the ‘Make a Guy’ competition.
Put the date in the diary- This week was the last week for Rugby and Netball clubs. Tennis, Football and Dance finish next week. There will be no clubs in the last week.

The PTFA are very kindly arranging a Christmas Party on the last day. Watch out for details.

Dear Parents,
We are presently arranging the tickets for our Christmas Nativity Plays, which are due to take place on:
Monday 12th December at 2.00pm
Tuesday 13th December at 6pm
The play involves participation of all KS1 And KS2 children. So it is open to all parents and friends of the school to come along and enjoy the whole school production and enjoy some festive fun.
Because of strict fire regulations we are only allowed 120 seats for the audience at each performance. Each family will be allowed two tickets, please enter in the left hand column, whether you want them on the same evening or split between the performances. After next Wednesday we will allocate any remaining tickets – please request these using the right hand column.
