Children start school in the academic year (1st September – 31st August) when they will be 5 years old. We offer full time education from the first day, although some parents may choose mornings only for the first half term when they feel five full days is too much for their child.
For information about the admissions procedure and how to apply for a place please go to: Dorset Council – Apply for a school place
We usually hold an open morning and open afternoon during the autumn term. Once applications have been submitted we have regular visits during the summer term so that children get to know the Reception Class staff, and start to become familiar with the environment and with school routines.
We will always do our best to accommodate all children but, if there are too may children for the places that we have, we refer to Dorset Council admission arrangements.

If children move to our school at a different time, parents can phone the school for an appointment to come and look around. We are always happy to welcome visitors but parents will still need to contact the Dorset Council admissions team.
