Today Conker and Acorn Classes visited Hartgill Farm and the Udder Farm shop to learn about where food comes from. They saw the different aged beef cattle and watched them being fed. Then it was off on a tractor and trailer ride to see the cattle and sheep in the fields. After a walk everyone went back to the farm yard to wash hands before getting back on the bus to go to the farm shop. At the farm shop the children got to watch the meat being made into burgers and sausages. Then it was off to the restaurant to taste the burgers and sausages. Everyone finished with ice – cream and a quick run around in the play area before setting off back to school.
