This morning it was our class assembly and it was lovely to welcome so many friends and family into school.
Firstly we were introduced to the important people that live and work in a castle. Lord Henry and Lady Evie with her ladies in waiting Ashleigh and Rubeckia. Knights were Jasper, Dillon, Oliver and Edward. Alfie was the blacksmith, Miranda was the cook with the yummy food. Elena was the groom and Leo was the castle jester. Some of the pupils labelled the different parts of the castle.
The class then re-told the story of the Little Red Hen using actions.
In small groups the children re-told their favourite traditional stories – Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, The Gingerbread Man, Goldilocks and The Three Little Pigs.
Finally Daniel, Finley, Libby, Jacob, Vriya, Alexandre and Annie had written clues for the audience to guess which storybook character they were describing.
