Dear All

Your School Needs You!

As you know, we are currently working hard to fulfil the Ofsted Report recommendations, in support of this, we are looking to promote the school and build stronger links with the local community. There are lots of ways you as parents can get involved in this and have fun at the same time! If you think you or someone you know could take on one of the activities below either individually, as a part of a group, or on a rota we would love to hear from you.

School alumni

Make contact with former pupils who may like to share their experiences/achievements with the current Stower Provost School children and inspire them.

Wisdom exchange

Help organise for members of the community to visit the school and share their life experiences with the children.

Community event

Set up an event that involves the school and the community. The aim would be to gain good press coverage and engage both the children and the community. Could we break a world record for example?!

Open the library to the public

Help make our library accessible to children outside the school.

After school clubs

Can you run a 5/6 week after school club. Do you have a skill or interest that the children might like to have a go at? This could be anything; yoga, pottery, mechanics, electronics, wildlife or knitting.

Garden Club rota

Are you able to join a rota to help Lorna keep on top of things in the Gardening Club.

If you are able to help in any capacity or would like to know more about a particular activity please let School know or Mel or Gareth Beeson know or email gbeeson@stowerprovost.dorset.sch.uk

We really do look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards

Martin Marshall

And Finally …

As you are aware the Spring Ball is on again this year. Last Year it raised over £2000 for PTFA funds. Much of this was raised through a raffle and auction on the night. Claire Heasman is looking for donations for the raffle prizes and the auction again this year. If you are able to donate something please contact school or Claire Heasman.
