NEW WEBSITE
I am delighted to inform you that our brand new website is now live! After months of hard work by Mr and Mrs. Beeson, staff and governors the new website is up and running. We have also been helped by Mr. Boden on the technical side and by Mrs. Ballett who took some of the lovely photographs you will see on the site. My heartfelt thanks go to these parents who have given freely of their time and produced such an amazing result. Staff have had some training already, and more is planned for next week, so that we can update this website more easily and on a more regular basis. Please take a look round!

PARENTS QUESTIONAIRE
The governors have just published their annual Parents’ Questionnaire – this is available on the website and is a great opportunity for you to air your views about the many aspects of school life. We do urge you to complete this so that governors can take note of your views and act accordingly. Perhaps the Easter holidays is an ideal time to sit down and complete the survey, which can be accessed here. Thanks.

INTERNET SAFETY
This is a reminder that we have a Parents’ session about E-safety next Monday 23rd March from 2.15 – 3.15 p.m. We have been reminding children this term about keeping safe when using computers, tablets, I-phones etc and the KS2 children will have some input from the Safer Schools Community Team before the parents’ session. The issue of what is in the public domain is an ever increasing problem in schools with the popularity of Facebook and other social networking sites. Please come to this meeting to hear what the police have to tell us about keeping safe and keeping our families safe.

SWIMARATHON
Just a few weeks ago, on a Sunday morning, two teams from Stower Provost participated in the Lions Swimarathon at Clayesmore School. We had a parents’ team (who swam 71 lengths – 32 lengths is a mile!) and a pupil team – Lucy, Thea, Daisy, Rosie, Isla and William – who swam 52 lengths. Half of the sponsor money from this event goes to the Lions chosen charities (NSPCC and Julia’s House) while the other half comes into school funds. While I was there I asked if the Lions would like to donate some money to buy some picnic benches for the swimming pool area and within days I had received a cheque for £500. My grateful thanks go to the Lions and to everyone who swam that day, and to all the friends and families who sponsored them. If you still have sponsor money please bring it to school by the beginning of next week. Thankyou.
