Dear All
I’m afraid that Mr Marshall is unwell, and will not be available in school for the next two weeks. In the meantime, please feel free to see Mr Covell if you have any concerns or questions about any aspect of school life. He may not know all the answers, but will endeavour to help!
Next week we have Parent Consultations on the Tuesday (14th March) and Thursday (16th March), as detailed on a previous letter. I’d just like to re-iterate that we prefer the children to be present so they can be part of the discussions. Mrs Barrow, our Chair of Governors, will be available on both evenings.
Chestnuts’ Assembly takes place tomorrow (Friday) in the school hall, starting just after 9am. Please come along if you can – the children love having a family member in the audience, even if they deny it! Looking further ahead, another date for Chestnuts is the Brass Concert on Thursday 23rd March, with parents welcome at 11:30.

Conker Class have been using their new white boards in phonic lessons and they are helping to improve spelling and handwriting. The new word cards challenge the children to spell words correctly, a big thank you to the PTFA for their donation of £1,200 towards resources in Key Stage 1.
Thank you to all who came along to the World Book Day breakfast event last Thursday. It was great to welcome so many Wallies into school, and that was just the staff. We had an assembly at the end of the day for the children to share some of the work that they’d done during the day, and to show off an amazing range of book character costumes!
Best wishes,
Andy Covell
