Friday 2nd February
Dear Parents and Carers
This has been another busy week at Stower Provost School, with the children really involved in their learning.
It was good to see so many of you at the Parents’ forum meeting yesterday. Thank you for all your contributions and I hope you felt the discussion was valuable. The points made have been noted and will be acted on in due course, and I am sure will make a difference to what we provide at the school.
If you were unable to attend, you will be interested to know that part of the discussion focused around the time of the meeting. If this is an issue for you, please drop a note to your class teacher as to when you would consider a more convenient time for the meeting to be held. We will try to accommodate as many people’s wishes as we can.
Active Kids Survey
Coming home today is a letter explaining how we have been randomly selected to take part in an on-line survey in school about the children’s view of sport and fitness. This only applies to children in Years 1, 3 and 5. The school will receive £100 for taking part in the survey, and as an additional carrot, we will receive an extra £50 for every 5 parents of children in Year 1 who complete the parental buy levitra nz survey. Details of how to complete this are on your letter; please do support the school funds by taking part, and if you would like any assistance in completing the survey, please do not hesitate to ask me.
INSET Day
Don’t forget that next Friday, 9th February, the school will be closed to children as we have our fourth INSET (Staff Development) Day. This is, of course, followed by the Half Term holiday, giving the children plenty of time for rest and recuperation, and hopefully time to clear themselves of the coughs, colds and sickness that seem to have struck down many of them recently.
Dates for next half term
There will be the chance for you to see the children’s learning, both from school and home, for the Curriculum Showcase afternoon, on Friday 23rd February from 2:30pm, with refreshments kindly organised by the PTFA. A reminder that we have Parents’ Evenings soon after half term – Tuesday 27th February 3:30pm – 7:00pm, all classes, and Thursday 1st March 3:30pm – 5:00pm Key Stage 2 only.
This week’s Star Pupils:
Conkers: Gilbert Acorns: Dylan Chestnuts: Poppy Oaks: Ruby all for having a positive attitude to learning.
Well done to all the children.
With best wishes
James Stanford
